SO TRYING TO HIGHLIGHT AREAS FOR GROWTH FOR OUR PEOPLE AS WELL, BECAUSE THAT'S IMPORTANT TO ME.
BUT WE ON THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SIDE, WE HAVE SENT ONE OF OUR STAFF MEMBERS TO THE NATIONAL LOCKSMITH INSTITUTE FOR CERTIFIED FACILITY TRAINING. SO PEOPLE DON'T THINK ABOUT THE KEYS IN A DISTRICT, BUT IT IS A MASSIVE JOB.
AND SO HE'S GONE. HE'S BEEN TRAINED AND IT'S SPECIFICALLY FOR FACILITIES.
IT'S DIFFERENT THAN JUST AN INDIVIDUAL LOCKSMITH.
HE FOCUSED ON VALVE AND HYDRANT MAINTENANCE AND THEN ALSO WATER TREATMENT.
ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE'VE JUST STARTED DOING AND WE'VE DONE ONE, WE CALL THEM LUNCH AND LEARNS AND THEY'RE JUST LIKE MANY COURSES AND THE, THE ONE THAT WE'VE DONE, WE TRY TO DO THEM MONTHLY.

THIS IS SOMETHING THAT WILL ALLOW US TO FIND PROBLEMS IN SEWER LINES.
IT WILL KEEP US FROM HAVING TO CONTACT CONTRACTORS TO DO THIS FOR US.

I GET A LOT OF EMAILS IN TRANSPORTATION, AND WHEN YOU READ THEM, MOST OF THEM ARE, YOU KNOW, MY STUDENTS ARE NOT GOING TO BE RIDING THE BUS TUESDAY OR WHATEVER, AND THEY ADJUST FOR THAT. BUT THIS PAST MONTH, SEVERAL HAVE COME IN JUST VERY POSITIVE.
WHEN THEY'RE NOT THERE, THEY'RE UPSET BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SEE THEM.

LUBY'S, IN ITS HEYDAY, SERVED ABOUT 2000 MEALS A DAY.
OUR CAFETERIAS, THE HEALTH INSPECTORS, THEY COME TWICE A YEAR AND THEY'VE STARTED ALREADY.
AND SO NOT ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES HAVE BEEN INSPECTED.
BUT SO FAR, ALL OF OUR CAMPUSES HAVE RECEIVED EXCELLENT REPORTS ON THAT.
AND THEN THE DEPARTMENT AS A WHOLE IS GETTING READY FOR THE THE TDA ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW, WHICH IS BASICALLY THEIR AUDIT. IT'S IT'S BROAD AND IT'S IN-DEPTH.
ALL IT'S IT'S A LOT THAT'S GOING TO BE IN FEBRUARY, BUT THEY'RE ALREADY PULLING THINGS AND MAKING SURE OUR NUTRITIONAL COUNTS AND THE FINANCES ALL OF IT, IT'S GOOD. SO THAT'S THAT'S WHAT ELSE THEY'RE WORKING ON.
