ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENT WAS ONE OF THE BAND DIRECTORS AT SYCAMORE MIDDLE HAD WON A TEACHER GRANT A YEAR AGO, AND SHE INTRODUCED THE EQUIPMENT IN THE CONCERT AND TOLD EVERYBODY IN THE ROOM ABOUT IT AND HOW SHE LIKES TO SHARE THAT WITH THE DISTRICT AND THE PURPOSE OF THE EQUIPMENT. AND IT WAS JUST AMAZING TO WITNESS.

THEY HELD THEIR DRIPPING SPRINGS ISD BOARD CANDIDATE FORUM, AND ALL THREE OF THE CANDIDATES ATTENDED.
I WAS THERE. IT WAS GREAT. THEY DO A REALLY GOOD JOB HOSTING THAT.
THE OH, I DO WANT TO HIGHLIGHT THAT THE COUNCIL RECEIVED A PTA ADVOCACY IMPACT AWARD FOR THEIR WORK AT THE PTA RALLY DAY AND THEN SEVERAL OF THE LOCAL PTAS ALSO RECEIVED A RECOGNITION FOR THAT.
THEY ALSO PARTNERED THE COUNCIL PARTNERED WITH EACH OF THE LOCAL PTAS TO FACILITATE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT FOR THE UPCOMING BOND REFERENDUM. THE LOCAL PTAS WERE ALL GIVEN AN OPPORTUNITY.
HOLLY. THEY DID THE BOND ROADSHOW, LIKE KIM WAS SAYING, AND TO EACH OF THE PTAS AND ALL OF OUR LOCAL PTAS DID CALL FOR A RESOLUTION. PASSED A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE 2025 BOND.
SO OUR RESOLUTIONS, WE ARE HAVING OUR NEXT MEETING ON MAY 12TH.
AND THEN THEY ALSO ELECTED NEW OFFICERS FOR THE COUNCIL.
OUR PRESIDENT NEXT YEAR WILL BE KRISTOPHER SCHULTZ AGAIN.
SO TWO YEAR TERM THERE. I THINK THAT'S IT. KIM I STARTED LAST WEEK ATTENDING THE FINAL ATHLETES SIGNING AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. WE HAVE A TOTAL OF 33 ATHLETES THAT HAVE SIGNED THIS YEAR, WHICH IS A NEW DRIPPING SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL RECORD.
